Motion Sequence Filtering using Geometric Algebra
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper presents novel methods of filtering motion sequence, which extend image processing algorithms to deal with motion sequences. The extending approach is the first to processing motion sequences represented by geometric algebra. It maintains many desired properties of geometric algebra such as compactness, generality and intuitive meaning. Experiments with captured motion sequences showed that presented methods are effective and can be useful in many aspects of motion processing.

A Direct Geometric Algebra Optical Flow Solution
Optical flow is the vector inverse problem of estimation motion though an image sequence. Geometric Algebra is an appropriate mathematical language for describing and solving vector problems. In this paper we apply Geometric Algebra to optical flow and pose a direct solution using a simple smoothness constraint. Implementational considerations are given and comparative assessment is made to two...
متن کاملBézier-like Parametrizations of Spheres and Cyclides Using Geometric Algebra
We introduce new Bézier-like formulas with quaternionic weights for rational curves and surfaces in Euclidean 3-space. They are useful for representation of Möbius invariant geometric objects. Any Bézier curves and surfaces on 2-spheres can be converted to the quaternionic Bézier (QB) form of twice lower degree. Our focus is on bilinear QB-surfaces: we derive their implicitization formula and s...

This book is called a ‘Guide to Geometric Algebra in Practice’. It is composed of chapters by experts in the field and was conceived during the AGACSE-2010 conference in Amsterdam. As you scan the contents, you will find that all chapters indeed use geometric algebra but that the term ‘practice’ means different things to different authors. As we discuss the various Parts below, we guide you thr...

متن کاملA cascadic geometric filtering approach to subdivision
A new approach to subdivision based on the evolution of surfaces under curvature motion is presented. Such an evolution can be understood as a natural geometric filter process where time corresponds to the filter width. Thus, subdivision can be interpreted as the application of a geometric filter on an initial surface. The concrete scheme is a model of such a filtering based on a successively i...
